Warning: Contains spoilers Captain America: Sentinel for Liberty #ten!A popular Captain America ally is facing the latest development of her character, and Marvel is teasing a new look for Sharon Carter. The reveal will take place after this week Captain America: Sentinel for Liberty #ten liberate, release, free. Cap and Sharon’s latest adventure sees the pair assemble a team of qualified soldiers (including Roger Aubrey, aka The Terminator) to help stop the latest act of evil of AIM in the world. Their efforts resulted in fallen comrades in this regard.
Marvel has now revealed a new design for the Sharon Carter character model, designed by Carmen Carnero, and expected to debut at some point during the film’s ongoing production. Captain America: Sentinel for Liberty Collections from Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and of course the aforementioned Carnero. As shown below, the suit is all white with occasional orange motifs. Most notably, the suit features an adjustable white and orange skull to reveal Sharon’s face. The look itself is said to reflect Sharon Carter’s upcoming arc, intended to reflect recent events in her life, shortly after the hero was reborn with new powers.

Aubrey finds herself completely wiped out by the new MODOC while protecting Sharon from the villains. “The profound impact this event has on her is the latest step in the creative team’s bold journey for one of Marvel’s most iconic spies,” Marvel’s press release says. It’s worth noting that before the tragedy struck, Sharon and her team were forced to replay the biggest failures in their minds in a mental time loop that was gripping them by the MODOC.

Sharon Carter has long been haunted by a certain sense of guilt, seeking redemption. After all, this is the character who was mind controlled to kill Steve Rogers at the end of Marvel civil war, then shot and killed his adopted son after mistaking the child for a villain. The Terminator dying while protecting her only adds to Sharon’s guilt about her life and other things to blame herself for. It’s worth noting, however, that Sharon’s new costume uses a skull motif, something that is associated with many of Captain America’s enemies, including the Red Skull, Crossbones, The Copycat, and Hydra. Coping with the latest trauma, Sharon is at risk of bankruptcy — or possibly becoming a secret for a bad guy.
Sharon’s guilt is coming in a new outfit and will likely give a whole new identity to Sharon Carter in an upcoming issue, just in time. Captain America: Cold War cross events. Whatever the future holds for Sharon Carter, the character’s latest development has the potential to change the scope and trajectory of her life forever.
