Marcia Clark, lead prosecutor in OJ Simpson trial, seen for the first time since his death

On April 11, OJ Simpson, NFL MVP and Heisman Award winner, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Despite having a decorated career in the NFL, OJ’s criminal record is equally decorated. In 1994, the former Buffalo Bills star was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and his friend Ron Goldman.

The case made national headlines, including a nationally televised high-speed chase with police that led to his arrest. The not guilty verdict was one of the most controversial decisions in American history.

Marcia Clark, the lead prosecutor in the famous trial, was recently outed for the first time since her death.

“The lead prosecutor in the OJ Simpson murder trial has been seen for the first time since the NFL star’s death last week,” the Daily Mail wrote.

“DailyMail.com spotted Marcia Clark, 70, taking out the trash outside her Los Angeles home on Thursday. Behind her were her characteristic permed curls and her short ’90s haircut, and in her place Clark sported straight hair that fell past his shoulder.

The outlet also described Clark’s appearance as “unrecognizable,” compared to his appearance during the time of the trial.

“Wearing a black sweatshirt, sweatpants and a fleece, the former California prosecutor was unrecognizable from her days during the trial that thrust her into the national spotlight,” they added.

Simpson remembers meeting Carl Weathers

Earlier this year, actor Carl Weathers, best known for his role as Apollo Creed in the Rocky series, died. Weathers built his reputation as an actor. But before hitting the big screen, Weathers had a brief stint in the NFL. Before his passing, OJ recalled the first time he met Carl Weathers.

“I first met Carl on the football field. I think he was a rookie and we were playing in Oakland and it was during warmups. He ran up to me, I guess he was playing linebacker for the Raiders at the time, trying to make the team. He told me that he was an actor and you know, he wanted to talk to me about it,” Simpson said.

“A fantastic guy. A very, very nice guy and a very talented actor, I might add.”
