Malini grew up in different countries; Since his parents worked in the Indian Foreign Service. He did his BA in English Literature from Maitreyi College, Delhi University. Malini loved dancing since her childhood and grew up learning various dance forms like Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop. After completing her graduation, Malini worked as a backup dancer in Ronica and The Planets for almost six years. After this, she moved to Mumbai to start her career as a radio jockey.

While based in Mumbai, Malini joined MTV India in 2000 as Digital Channel Head. He worked there for about two years and later, he started working as a radio jockey in WIN 94.6 FM. While working as an RJ, Malini hosted shows like “Horn OK Please,” “225,” “Tiger Time with Malini,” “Overdrive,” and “Malini to Midnight.” After some time, he was promoted to programming director. Subsequently, Agarwal moved to digital TV and became Channel V’s Head of Digital Content (India). Subsequently, he started writing a gossip column in Mid Day titled “Malinese Mumbai”. Malini also worked as a Bollywood correspondent for BBC Asia Network.

In 2008, Agarwal started her blog, “MissMalini.com”, as a hobby. This blog was an extension of the gossip column she had been writing for several years with Mid Day. Gradually the blog, which started just as a hobby, became a major source of income for Malini. Malini also hosts the show “Inside Access with Miss Malini” where she invites many celebrities and does fun things with them.
