Mahesh Joshi was born on Tuesday, 14 September 1954 (age 68 years; as in 2022) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. His zodiac sign is Virgo. In May 2022, a 23-year-old girl from Delhi had accused Mahesh’s son Rohit of raping her on the pretext of marriage. She alleged that Rohit raped her multiple times between January 8, 2021, and April 17, 2022. She said that she met Rohit on Facebook in 2021 and they first met in Jaipur. They met again on 8 January 2021 in Sawai Madhopur where Rohit drugged her and took her nude photos and videos. She said they later went to a hotel in Delhi where they registered their names as husband and wife. She alleged that Rohit used to drug her, beat her, make obscene videos and threaten to upload them on social media. She also complained that Rohit had promised her that he would marry her after divorcing his wife and when she became pregnant, he forced her to undergo an abortion. The FIR was registered at Delhi’s Sadar Bazar police station under IPC sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison etc. with intent to commit offence), 312 (causing miscarriage), 366 (kidnapping) . Kidnapping a woman or forcing her to marry, etc.), 377 (unnatural offences) and 506 (criminal intimidation). It is being told that Rohit had gone into hiding after this matter came to light in the media. There were some rumors that Mahesh was helping his son; However, Mahesh rejected those claims and said that his son is innocent and he will help the police in every possible way.

The Rajasthan High Court provided police protection to the girl as she had alleged threat to her life. Rohit Joshi was granted anticipatory bail by a local court on June 9, 2022. On June 10, 2022, he was interrogated for three hours at Sadar Bazar Police Station in Delhi. On June 11, 2022, when the complainant was with her mother in Kalindi Kunj area of Delhi, some miscreants threatened her to withdraw the case and threw a chemical resembling ink on her face. He was taken to AIIMS Delhi where he was admitted to the trauma centre.

Ramprasad Meena, a resident of Silver Mint area of Jaipur, committed suicide by hanging himself in the office of a transport company in Subhash Chowk area on 17 April 2023. Before committing suicide, he had made a video in which he had accused Mahesh Joshi and 6 others, Girdhari temple priest Devendra Sharma, Lalit Sharma, Royal Sheraton Hotel Munji Tank owner Deva Awasthi and Lalchand Devnani. He alleged in the video that these people are not allowing him to build a house on his land near Hanuman Temple. He also requested Rajya Sabha member Kirori Lal Meena to do justice to him and his family. Ramprasad’s son Ankit Meena said that his father sent this video to his daughter because he knew that after his death the local police and administration would suppress the matter.

Reportedly, Ramprasad also met Mahesh Joshi for help in getting justice; However, Mahesh misbehaves with him. Ramprasad’s family protested outside the office where he committed suicide and his brother lodged an FIR against the accused at Subhash Chowk police station. Speaking to the media, Mahesh said that he met Ram Prasad’s family members on 13 April 2023; However, he did not insult them. He said,
I do not want to interfere in the police investigation. I want the police to conduct a fair investigation. “No written complaint was given to me by the victim’s family.”
