Wiki/Biography

Lovepreet Singh was born on Saturday, 6 September 1997 (age 25 years; as of 2022) in Bal Sachandar, Amritsar, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Virgo. He did his primary education in a government school in Rajasansi, Amritsar. At the age of 13, Lovepreet Singh first developed an interest in weightlifting after watching former weightlifters Hira Singh and Rupinder Singh, natives of her hometown, who later trained Lovepreet. While Heera Singh is a weightlifting coach, Rupinder Singh is in the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force). He grew up in a simple family, watching his father stitch clothes in his shop outside their two-room house in the village and his grandfather selling vegetables. At that time, his grandfather and uncles provided the necessary financial support to Lovepreet to continue his weightlifting training. Later, he joined DAV Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, from where he passed class 12th. He actively participated and won medals in weightlifting competitions during his school days. After seven years of hard work and determination, he was included in the national camp in Patiala, where he trained under coach Vijay Sharma.
