Someone paid a LOT of money for a Leonardo DiCaprio painting during a live auction at a Cannes Film Festival charity event!
The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actor was on hand to watch his portrait sell for $1.3 million during the auction at the amfAR Cannes Gala 2023 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 25) in Cap d-Antibes, France.
Leo skipped the red carpet and wore a baseball cap inside the black-tie event to keep a low profile. He was joined by his mom Irmelin, who looked stunning in a yellow dress.
During the live auction, a painting by Damien Hirst was up for auction. The famous artist was commissioned to do a painting of Leo and sold it to a private collector, who then donated it to amfAR, according to Variety.
