Lauren Graham was the late actor’s “favorite person.”
After Friends student Matthew Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home in October, friends, family and friends have been struggling to cope in a world without him.

However, on Thursday, Lauren Graham, 56, said CBS Mornings who trusts that his old friend was in good spirits before he passed away.

“Last year he was very proud of the book he wrote and how many people it touched. It was a success that gave him a level of happiness that I hadn’t seen in him for a long time, so it’s a nice memory.”

“I’m still in shock. I mean, it’s a really tragic loss and he leaves behind his beautiful work. “That’s something to be grateful for and, again, the book really meant something to him, so it was a really happy year for him.”

Graham went on to share how strong the bond between her and Perry was.
“No one made me laugh so much. Just tears, flowing. “There was great joy in being around him and being his friend.”
Graham and Perry crossed paths long before collaborating on the 2008 film. Birds of America and maintained a strong friendship years after the project.
