Mir Taj Mohammad Khan was a Pathan who was a resident of Peshawar, Pakistan. He was a highly educated person and was fluent in four different languages including Punjabi, Pushtu, Sanskrit and Persian except English and Hindi. He held MA and LLB degrees. He was a businessman and owned a transport company. He was also involved in politics. At the age of sixteen, he became the youngest Indian independence activist. Death
In 1990, Latif Fatima Khan died due to multiple complications and a long illness of diabetes. He died before his son Shahrukh Khan could debut in Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan revealed in an interview that he was not prepared for the news of his mother’s death and said,
I was not ready for him to die. I never used to pray, but when she was in the ICU and she was having respiratory failure, I went to the hospital parking lot and for the first time, I prayed. I was told to pray 6000 times and he would not feel pain.”
