Lalit Mohan Jha was arrested after a planned infiltration in the Lok Sabha. The incident occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack and involved six persons, four of whom were charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for alleged terrorism. Two persons named Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha from the general public gallery during Zero Hour. They released yellow smoke from canisters and raised slogans before they were tackled by MPs and security personnel. On the other hand, two other persons named Anmol Dhanraj Shinde and Neelam Devi released yellow smoke from canisters and raised slogans outside the Parliament. Lalit Mohan Jha is said to be the mastermind behind this incident who was making a video of the entire incident and after some time left the premises and went to Rajasthan. It was reportedly said that the purpose of doing so was to enact the action of revolutionary Bhagat Singh throwing a bomb inside the Central Assembly during the British rule in India. A few days after the incident, Lalit Jha himself came to the police station and surrendered. This was said by quoting a police officer
