KM Sachin Dev was born on Monday, 18 October 1993 (age 28 years; as in 2021) in Nellikkode area of Kozhikode city in Kerala, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. He went to Savio Higher Secondary School, Medical College Campus, Kozhikode, Kerala for his primary and secondary education. After completing his schooling, he joined the Government Arts and Science College, Meenchanda, Kozhikode, Kerala to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English. He became a member of the Students Federation of India (SFI), an Indian leftist student organization politically associated with the ideology and political views of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Within a short period of time, he became one of the most popular and respected leaders of the Students Federation of India at Government Law College Kozhikode through his efforts and hard work. His main focus was to work for student welfare for which he received much appreciation. Later he was appointed the Central President of the Association in the college and as President he was also given the office for political work. His continuous efforts and commitment towards his work was commendable due to which he also got the post of Secretary of SFI Kozhikode District Committee. In 2021, he was appointed as the State Secretary of the SFI Committee in Kerala and All India Joint Secretary of SFI.
Soon after completing his law degree and already gaining good experience in the political field, he chose to pursue a career in the political field, for which he joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Already a well-known student leader, he was among the popular members of the Communist Party of India in Kerala. His continuous efforts for public welfare has brought huge benefits to the party in many ways due to which he has been selected by the party to contest the elections for the year 2021 from Balussery State Assembly Constituency, which is the largest state assembly constituencies in the state of Kerala.
