Kevin Conroy’s acting career began in theatre.

Conroy, born November 30, 1955, received a scholarship to the Juilliard School’s drama department in 1973 and graduated in 1978. He later performed with John Houseman’s acting company, The Acting Company, in National tour of Ira Levin’s play Deathtrap.

Kevin then moved to California in 1980 and had a recurring role on the daytime soap opera Another World. He later appeared in plays such as Hamlet as well as other classical and modern theatrical productions. In 1985, he returned to television with the television series Covenant and starred in shows such as Dynasty, Ohara, Tour of Duty, Cheers, Search for Tomorrow, Matlock and others.

He became known for his role as the voice of Batman in the 1992 television series Batman: The Animated Series.
