Development of a second part of Dragon House is underway and it will most likely be released next year in 2024. Casey Bloys, HBO and HBO Max’s president of programming, has confirmed this. The show’s first season is one of the most popular on HBO. trying so far and becoming one of the most watched shows by 2022. Dragon Palace is one of many show ideas submitted online. It was then decided to continue the story of the Targaryen dynasty, which takes place 172 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
Bloy says:

Dragon Castle Part 2: Good script is the number 1 priority
House of the Dragon is a prequel to HBO’s previously successful epic series Game of Thrones. Although the first three seasons of Game of Thrones were warmly received for their engaging storytelling and clever progressions, fans grumbled that subsequent seasons had lost their appeal due to poor writing. HBO wants to give viewers an unforgettable experience. They are focusing on a solid script for the second season of Dragon House. They are taking their time in hopes of repeating the success of the first season, but have not ruled out airing other shows before the start of the highly anticipated season.
Bloy says:
“I believe a solid script is the most important thing. I don’t do it because I want to have it once or twice a year. I want to build on those scenarios that we’re very excited about.”
Then he said:
“You have to try some different techniques. You never know what will work. That is what we are doing now. I’m not interested in any amount of programming. There may be a natural limit to the number of backers that can be provided, but I’m fine with any number as long as we’re excited about the script and the possibilities of the series. It takes time to find the perfect one. I’m sure George [R.R. Martin] it feels like that.
George RR Martin, the series’ official author, is known for taking a long time to publish his books, but he never fails to produce excellent work. A Jon Snow sequel starring Kit Harrington has also been discussed, but Bloys doesn’t have any specifics to share other than the fact that it’s still in the works. He also confirmed that the show’s second season won’t be eligible for the 2024 Emmys, so it will most likely continue into the summer of 2024.
