Keshav Guha is an Indian author and editor who rose to prominence as a fantasy author in 2019 with his debut novel, Accidental Magic. He is the son of Ramachandra Guha, a notable historian and all-round intellectual.

Keshav Guha was born in 1990 (age 34 years; as of 2024) in Delhi, India. He was brought up and schooled in Bengaluru (now Bengaluru) in a family of intellectuals, with both his mother and father enjoying reading. From 2008 to 2013, he pursued a BA in History and Politics at Harvard University, Cambridge, United States, and from 2017 to 2018, he pursued an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. Keshav did the Columbia Publishing Course from the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University. From 2021 to 2024, he completed his PhD in Philosophy. Currently, Keshav Guha is based in London, United Kingdom.

Keshav’s grandfather, Subramaniam Ramdas Guha, was a research professional and director at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India, and his grandmother was a high school teacher.

Right after completing his studies, Keshav Guha worked as a freelance journalist to focus on writing his stories. Apart from his blogs and columns on various topics, writing fantasy novels is his specialty.
