A familiar face is returning to american idol!
On Friday (May 12), the singing competition series announced that former judge Keith Urban will return to the show as a guest mentor for an upcoming episode.

The 55-year-old musician will return to Idol as a guest mentor for the season 21 finale on Sunday, May 21.
“I’m back on @americanidol next week!!!!!” Keith wrote on his Instagram story.
Keith served as a judge on Idol from seasons 12 to 15. Keith, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr. were the last three judges on Idol before Fox canceled it after season 15 in 2016.
