And the reason behind this was because her boyfriend cheated on her. Her brother heard the sound and immediately ran to the bathroom. And he found her lying unconscious on the floor. Furthermore, her entire face was covered in blood. Later, she was taken to the hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. And she was transferred to the hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was therefore seriously injured but survived.
Furthermore, his face had completely disappeared. She lost her nose, jaw, forehead, mouth, sinuses and the front of her face. Furthermore, her eyes were seriously injured. In an interview she said that she never thought about taking her own life. Therefore, she felt very guilty for having put her family through so much pain. The Stubblefield Family Journey
Andrea Schneider was found a donor at the clinic in May 2017. Thus, it was a 31-year-old woman who died. And she was the perfect match for her face transplant. Andrea’s grandmother decided to donate Andrea’s dace. It took 31 hours of operations for the surgery to be successful. The US Department of Defense paid for the surgery.

And it was through the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Surgeons used 3D printing before the operation. Thus, it was done so that they could reconstruct 90% of his lower jaw.
