Speaking about his actions, Kanye West claims he assaulted a man who had inappropriately grabbed his wife Bianca Censori in Los Angeles.
As previously reported, the incident occurred last Tuesday at the Chateau Marmont. Originally, Milo Yiannopoulos, chief of staff at the Yeezy clothing company, stated that Censori had been attacked by a man who did not simply bump into her.
“He put his hand under her dress, directly on her body,” Yiannopoulos explained. “He grabbed her waist, spun her around and then blew kisses at her. She was beaten and sexually assaulted.”
After hearing what allegedly happened from his wife, Kanye West immediately sprang into action and punched the man in the face. West and Censori then walked away, leaving the injured man. In particular, he did not require any medical treatment for his injuries.
However, days after the assault, TMZ reported that West had mistakenly punched the wrong man. He punched the twin brother who allegedly assaulted Censori. The twins involved in the situation have been identified as Mark and Jonnie Houston, prominent restaurateurs in the Los Angeles region.
Kanye West claims he tried to get the Houston brothers out before the incident
Kanye West continues to justify his actions by sharing more details about what happened at the hotel.
During his appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, West stated that Bianca Censori had told him that one of the Houston brothers had grabbed her. After becoming concerned about what his wife told him about the exchange, West said he confronted the brothers and tried to get the perpetrator to leave.
West noted that he had also compiled the story that Censori shared with hotel security to help get the man out of the hotel. As the twins tried to calm him down and assure him everything was okay, West said he became angry.
Telling one of the twins to go to bed, West declared that he “tuck this black in.” However, the rapper admitted that he doesn’t actually know what happened.
According to the daily mail, The brothers especially frequent the Chateau Marmont. It is unclear if they interacted with Kanye West before the incident.
Law enforcement sources further noted that there has yet to be any evidence to support claims that one of the Houston brothers assaulted Censori.
West’s management team continues to double down on the story that one of the brothers sexually assaulted Censori. “This was a physical and sexual assault and any attempt to undermine the seriousness of what happened is repellent and vile.”
It’s still unclear which twin West ended up hitting. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
