Together with the District of Columbia, they filed a lawsuit against the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers for the January 6 riots.
They claim that their romance began only a few months after Lydgate left the AG office.
Healey added: “We’ve always been pretty close because we work together in the office. We realized that we weren’t just best friends after we stopped working together, and it was a really nice, unexpected journey.
By then, Healey had broken up with his longtime partner. And, Lydgate continued, she and her husband also parted “in love and each other.” Their separation will soon be legally binding. She and her husband, a consultant who advises nonprofits, shared custody of their two children, ages 9, and 11, with each parent living in a part-time parent home. .
