Jeremy Renner ‘nervous’ about returning to acting after snowplow accident

Just over a year after his life-threatening accident, Jeremy Renner returns to the set of his hit drama Paramound+. Kingstown Mayor.

In her latest Instagram post, Renner shared a selfie while getting ready for set. “First day on set,” she declared. “Nervous today. I hope this works out so we can REALLY make it happen for our production and most importantly for the fans.”

Jeremy Renner was hospitalized on January 1, 2023, after being hit by a snowplow outside his home in Lake Tahoe, Cali. The actor suffered blunt trauma to the chest and had approximately 30 broken bones. In particular, the snow blower weighed around 14,330 pounds.

It was revealed that Renner had stepped in front of the snowplow to prevent his nephew, Alex Fries, from being hit. Fries previously recalled the horrible experience. “He came out to tell me something, and that’s when he started coming at me with all the strength he had. He tried to jump back in there, right where his blood is… That’s right where it happened. He slipped because there is no way to stand on these tracks.”

Jeremy Renner was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center and underwent surgery. The actor remained in the ICU in critical condition for a few days. Fortunately, on January 17, Renner was released from the hospital. He has spent the last year recovering and doing intensive training.

Renner also said he was awake the entire time after the accident. “I was on asphalt and ice,” he told Diane Sawyer. “It feels like someone took your breath away. There is too much going on in the body to feel pain, it’s all. It’s like your soul can feel pain.”

Jeremy Renner says his daughter Ava is his ‘number one reason’ for recovering after snowplow accident

A year after his snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner took to Instagram to claim that his daughter Ava is the number one reason he worked hard to recover.

“I asked her to ‘wait for me’ when I first saw her on January 14 when I got home,” Renner wrote. “As I got better, she got better and she was less afraid.”

Jeremy Renner also said that there is simply no better motivator for recovery than healing family and friends. “With gratitude always, thank you all for your love and support this past entire year,” he continued. “I need every ounce of goodwill and prayer.”
