Jana Kramer is preparing for the release of her new book “The Next Chapter” and is opening up about fights with her ex-husband Mike Caussin.
The 39-year-old country singer married the former football player in 2015 and later filed for divorce in April 2021. They share daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4.
Jana’s new book follows the year of her life after her marriage to Mike ended.

On their March 2021 podcast, Jana and Mike talked about a fight they had.
“Words are the ones that stay with me and you don’t mean that, but they are the worst things that stay with someone,” Jana told Mike on his podcast at the time. “I said bad things, but you did something profound… I’m like a bad high school student.”
Mike responded, “You and I are different. You’ve said some mean words and things to me and I don’t hold them in like you do, but we’re different people and that’s okay. … It’s just me trying to impose or force respect, which is just a bad way to do it.”
In the book, Jana wrote about a fight they had in the laundromat a few weeks after those comments were made.
The fight occurred while Jana was recovering from a breast augmentation and needed a specific bra to wash at the laundromat, which Mike offered to do. When the clothes weren’t washed fast enough, they got into a fight and Mike said, “I didn’t know you were that crippled.”
Us weekly reports that Mike started throwing wet clothes at Jana and she fell after losing her balance.
“In true Ex style, he said, ‘That didn’t hurt.’ Get up,” Jana wrote in the book. It is reported that she never mentioned Mike’s name.
