Brooke Mueller, the mother of Charlie Sheen’s twin children, has reportedly relapsed. But despite Mueller’s alleged relapse, Sheen continues to support her.
“She’s trying to figure out some things on her end,” he acknowledged. As a result, her sons, Max and Bob, are “proud” of the Two and a half Men star.
“The boys are proud of me now. “You see what mom is going through and I’m not going to leave mom because I know it’s a thing,” she added. “But I think they’re very grateful to have a dad who is present, responsible and focused.” , punctual.”
Charlie Sheen talks about fatherhood
Sheen also recently spoke to PEOPLE about his journey as a father. As his twins enter adolescence, Sheen says one of the hardest things is getting them to put down their devices.
“You know, the time spent loving their devices…” he told PEOPLE.
“Although on the other hand, when they do that it gives me a little time to not drag them all over the city. But I also feel that screens prevent them from having other opportunities to expand their minds in other areas.”
The actor talks about the death of Matthew Perry
Part of the reason Sheen might be so sympathetic to Mueller is because he can relate. Sheen has dealt with addiction in the past and it was part of the reason he was written out of “Two & a Half Men.”
“Friends” star Matthew Perry recently died from an overdose. Sheen said that his death resonated with him so much that she had to turn off his phone when she received the news of Perry’s death.
“It was really sad when that happened. I just read his book. About six weeks ago and I read it in one day. Oh really. Yes, I turned off my phone. It was so accessible and instantly engaging that I just said, this is all I want to do today. I just stood there and it wasn’t like I was done at 2 in the morning. I finished at 8:15,” Sheen said.
“I can relate to it, a lot of it. Because she was reliving it or living it with him. A lot of struggle, a lot of obsession,” she continued. “When you’re at that fork in the road, there are 76 really good options and you choose number 77.”
