Iman Vellani and Nia DaCosta surprise fans at the screening of their new film the wonders!
The 21 year old Ms. Marvel The star and the 34-year-old director appeared at the wonders special screening event at the El Capitan Theater on Thursday (November 9) in Hollywood.
In the wondersThe third feature film of Nia’s career, Iman stars as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, alongside Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau.
At the event, Iman, Nia and the film’s composer, Laura Karpman, presented the wonders to the audience and talked about the movie!
While on stage, Nia gushed about her time working with Iman.
“Iman Vellani, not only a superfan of this world and really excited about everything we were doing, [but] she is [also] “An incredible actress, an incredible performer and a real pleasure to be around.”
Iman then talked about how much she enjoyed being a part of the wonders and playing Kamala for the first time in a film.
“It felt like a strange fever dream with cats and Samuel [L.] Jackson and Samuel Jackson holding cats,” he said. “But it has been wonderful. “Kamala really represented a big part of my life and being able to bring her to the big screen makes me excited to talk about it.”
