Iconic Songwriter Cynthia Weil Passes Away at 82

Cynthia Weil, the iconic songwriter behind hits like “You’ve Lost That Loving Feelin'” and “On Broadway,” has sadly passed away at the age of 82.

Weil’s daughter told TMZ that he died Thursday night (June 1), though a cause of death has yet to be announced.

“My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the best mother, grandmother, and wife our family could have asked for. She was my best friend, my confidante and my accomplice and an idol and trailblazer for women in music,” her daughter, Dr. Jenn Mann, said in a statement.

Cynthia is survived by her husband Barry Mann, who was her longtime songwriter.
