‘Harry Potter’ Reboot at Max Makes Exciting Progress (Report)

There has been some interesting news about the Harry Potter reboot in the works for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max streaming platform.

We first learned of plans to adapt JK Rowling’s popular novels into a television series in April 2023. The plan is for each season of the show to focus on one of the books in the franchise.

According to a report from Deadline, Warner Bros. is in the midst of pitches for the series from a variety of writers. The first set of meetings reportedly took place recently in Los Angeles and there are plans for a follow-up in the UK.

The shortlist is said to include Martha Hillier, Kathleen Jordan, Tom Moran and Michael Lesslie. Of the group, fans are likely to recognize Michael while he was writing the script for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Songbirds and the Snakes.

It’s unclear if JK has seen any of the releases. However, the outlet noted that she will have a say in how the project moves forward.
