In a tit-for-tat legal battle, Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex-husband responded with his own restraining order. This comes just days after she filed her own restraining order against her embattled spouse.
People reports that court records show that Ryan Scott Anderson, 37, obtained a restraining order against Blanchard, 32, on Thursday, April 11.
Blanchard requested a restraining order on Monday, April 8, coinciding with the day she began divorce proceedings. This move came less than two years after her marriage in a modest prison ceremony on July 21, 2022 in Livingston County, Missouri. The couple had physically separated on March 25 and had been living apart since then.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard requests both temporary and permanent alimony, attributing the dissolution of the marriage to her actions and proposes that her husband receive no financial support. The decision will be made in court on May 23, 2023.
In July 2022, the couple exchanged vows in a Missouri prison, where Blanchard was serving a 10-year sentence for orchestrating the murder of her mother, Clauddine ‘DeeDee’ Blanchard, in 2015.
Blanchard was allegedly forced by her mother, Dee Dee, to appear as a seriously ill child. She underwent unnecessary medical treatments for non-existent conditions such as leukemia and muscular dystrophy. Dee Dee exploited her at charity events and fundraisers to gain sympathy and funds for made-up illnesses.
In 2015, Blanchard convinced her online boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her controlling mother in her Springfield, Missouri, home by stabbing her to death. For his involvement in the murder, Nicholas Godejohn is serving a life sentence.

Meanwhile, the bereavement restraining orders come after Anderson claimed the split was due to Gypsy Rose’s relationship with ex-fiancé Ken Urker. “I’m not doing well with this,” she said recently. Blanchard left her husband and home in Lake Charles more than three weeks ago and returned to her family’s home in Cut Off, Louisiana, a three-hour drive away.
