Early life Childhood
Born in December 8, 1968Reid’s birth name is Joy-Ann M. Lomena-Reid. As of 2022, she is 54 years. Although Reid was born in Brooklyn, New York, his parents were immigrants. Her father was from the Democratic Republic of the Congo while her mother was Guyanese. Her father rarely appeared in the picture while she was young. Eventually, her parents divorced and she, along with her brother and her sister, were raised by her mother. The family of four lived in Denver, Colorado, until Joy was 17 years old. But a tragedy occurred. Her mother died from breast cancer. After the incident, Joy began living with her aunt in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
