Preeti Desai is a British actress and supermodel. She is known for starring in films such as Shor in the City (2011), One by Two (2014), and The Stunt Double (2020). She is a former Miss Great Britain 2006–2007 and the first woman of Indian origin to win the title.

Preeti Desai was born on Tuesday, 29 September 1981 (age 42 years; as in 2023) in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. His zodiac sign is Libra. Preeti went to St Augustine’s RC Primary School in Coulby Newnham for her early education, then attended Nunthorpe Secondary School in Nunthorpe, where she took a course in hair and beauty, before going on to Middlesbrough College for further studies. Preeti completed her education and made her career managing a salon for three years. He also worked in his father’s fireworks shop. She moved to London from her home in Guysborough, North Yorkshire, to start her modeling career. After becoming Miss Great Britain, Preeti moved to Mumbai to resume her modeling and film career.

Priti Desai was given the title of Miss Cleveland, which enabled her to compete in the Miss Great Britain beauty pageant held annually in the UK. Preeti won the title and remained Miss Great Britain for 2006–07. However, Preeti was not the first choice. Danielle Lloyd was the original winner of the title, however, she was stripped of the title when she and a judge were found to have a conflict of interest. Following the scandal that ousted Danielle, a vote was held to choose the next winner and Priti Desai was overwhelmingly supported, resulting in her being crowned Miss Great Britain. She then moved to London to fulfill her duties as Miss Great Britain’s ambassador.

In 2008, after completing her ambassadorship, Preeti moved to Mumbai to become a fashion model. In Mumbai, Atul Kasbekar, a renowned photographer, represented Preity, who appeared on the cover of the magazine L’Official alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her first assignment. Her second assignment was with Kingfisher when she appeared on the 2008 Kingfisher Calendar. She was selected to appear on the cover of the special edition of the Kingfisher Calendar.

Within the year, Preity also appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan’s October issue. These assignments made her a well-known and loved face, which led to her appearing on various covers as well as walking the ramp for several fashion designers. In 2009, Hrithik Roshan and Preity Desai became the faces of the Provogue brand.

Preeti Desai stepped into the film industry by playing the character of Shalmili in a crime drama film Shor in the City (2011).
