People are starting to take issue with Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s star status after a professional wrestler personally invited her to AEW. Dynamite.
It has been about a month since Blanchard left the Chillicothe Correctional Facility in Chillicothe, Missouri. The 32-year-old spent more than eight years behind bars for helping her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, orchestrate the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
In the short time Blanchard has been free, she’s published a book and a docuseries, adopted a puppy, gone on a media tour, become a billionaire, and more. Most recently, Ricky Starks gave her VIP treatment at a pro wrestling event in New Orleans, and she happily attended.
After the show, he posted some highlights on his Instagram page and thanked Starks for the invite.
“Thank you Ricky Stark and AEW Dynamite for inviting us to [an] Incredible show tonight,” he captioned. “We had fun!”
While Gypsy Rose Blanchard has a legion of fans, she also seems to have just as many critics. And they are expressing her frustrations about her in her comments.
“Please stop that ‘make a wish’ thing you’re doing,” one person wrote. “He is getting very old. Yes, you’re out of jail, but come on. Do something meaningful for once and move on with your life. I’m glad Taylor Swift didn’t grant your “make a wish” request. Grow up, she gets a job and stops asking favors from celebrities.”
“Tired of seeing her everywhere,” another person complained. “She’s just cashing in on this story.”
“This is such a dumb man,” added another. “All this because she killed her mother. “This is fucked.”
Fans ask haters to give Gypsy Rose Blanchard ‘some respect’
Gypsy Rose Blanchard gained a following during her 2016 criminal trial, where she was found guilty of second-degree murder. Blanchard was allegedly a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a psychological condition that leads caregivers to take extreme and dangerous measures to make children appear sick.
Dee Dee made her friends, family, and doctors believe that her daughter was constantly sick with various illnesses. Some of the lies even caused Blanchard to undergo painful and unnecessary surgeries. Blanchard claims that she helped kill her mother to escape her abuse. Some people believe she had no choice.
“How about some of you haters give the woman some respect,” said one of her fans. “She didn’t ask to be born into a life where the only person [is] I’m supposed to love you and let you down. From what I can see, she already served his sentence. If she is trying to help others, she is trying to rewrite her mother’s mistakes, so give her a break.”
