Just over a year after her divorce from NFL legend Tom Brady was finalized, Gisele Bündchen opened up about the “rejection” she received from her children amid the separation.

During a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Bündchen opened up about the struggles she has with her two children, Benjamin and Vivian, since she and Brady have separate rules for their homes. “The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you are going to make your life,” the model explained. “If you are not learning here and now, when and with whom?”

Gisele Bündchen also spoke about the resistance that her children offer her when they are at home. “Sometimes I get rejection, especially because they are in two different homes now and there are two different paths. But I feel like I owe it to my children, for what my mother taught me.”

Bündchen also talked about enrolling her children in self-defense classes. He loves jiujitsu and trained with the brothers Joaquim, Pedro and Gui Valente. “Here I’m thinking, ‘Oh, I’m going to learn self-defense because I want to make sure my kids can protect themselves when they’re out in the world,’” she continued. “But then I learned from the brothers the philosophy and the lifestyle, the whole value system, which was amazing.”

Gisele added that training was also almost everything she experienced in her life. “The way I believed in courage and honesty and all the things that I found important in my value system and that have guided me in my life. “They were never organized and now they have a container.”
