Before playing in the Pro Kabaddi League, Girish Maruti Ernak was selected for the Air India Kabaddi team. In 2015, Girish was selected by the team ‘Patna Pirates’ to play in the second season of the Pro Kabaddi League. He was then selected by the team ‘Bengal Warriors’ to represent him in the third and fourth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League.
In 2017, Girish was selected by the team ‘Puneri Paltan’ to play in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League. He also served as the captain of Puneri Paltan in the sixth season and was retained as a player of the team for the seventh season.
Girish was part of the Maharashtra team that won the 65th Senior National in 2017–2018. He also represented the Maharashtrian team in the 3rd Federation Cup in 2018. In the same year, Girish also participated in the Dubai Kabaddi Masters, which was a 6-nation Kabaddi Masters series and was won by the Indian team. Girish Ernak played in the team ‘Gujarat Giants’ and ‘Bengal Warriors’ for the eighth and ninth season in 2021 and 2022 respectively. He also scored 300 career points while representing ‘Gujarat Giants’.
In 2023, Girish was selected by the Maharashtrian team ‘U Mumba’ and bought for Rs 20 lakh to play in the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League, which was held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
