Of all Rory Gilmore’s boyfriends, Logan Huntsberg might be the worst. Many fans can’t stand his attitude, wealth and privilege or his relationship with Rory. Still, there are other viewers who see the goodness in Logan and think he’s a perfect fit for Rory in some ways.

The good guy: every time he calls Rory “Ace”

Many fans cringe every time Logan calls Rory “Ace”. No one else approved of Logan giving her that stupid nickname, and it didn’t suit her. Whenever Logan utters those words, his voice exudes masculinity and ego. Nothing good comes after “Trump”, usually whatever Logan wants at a given time.

The good guy: Stands up for Rory when his family is humiliating

Bringing your partner home for dinner with the family can be a daunting task. The Huntsbergs and Gilmores know each other well, but that doesn’t mean everything is going smoothly.

The Logan family didn’t like Rory very much, but Logan did the right thing by defending Rory and skipping their dinner when her parents weren’t nice to her.

Good Guys: Tell Lucy that Marty and Rory know each other

Rory’s college friends Lucy and Marty represent two different periods in her time at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. After helping Marty get out of her predicament, she befriends Marty and they enjoy watching old movies like duck soup together after school. Things get awkward when Marty likes Rory, but she doesn’t. Lucy then emerges as a fun girlfriend who perfectly fits Rory and Logan’s social lifestyle. When Marty and Lucy became subjects, Rory and Marty both decided not to tell Lucy that they had a history. Logan decided in an informal way that it was up to him to announce the news. This could be seen as a noble act of righteousness, or a revenge tactic befitting his malicious tendencies.

The Good Guys: Be Exclusive With Rory

Rory and Logan don’t always agree when it comes to setting the rules for their relationship. Rory tries to accept Logan’s preference for dating other people, but she’s very upset about it. In the end, she decides to break up with Logan, who surprises her with his commitment to their relationship. It’s one of the best things Logan has done in the entire series.

Nice guy: Date Rory at her big family event

Earlier in the Logan and Rory story, the Yale family had too much fun at Richard and Emily’s vow renewal ceremony. Logan has a date person, tactful and conceited. Unfortunately, Rory is trapped and makes up with the “nice guy”, but is discovered by Luke and Lorelai. As big fans know, the scene can quickly go awry and also create a split between Lorelai and Emily.

Good Guys: Soothe Rory When She Has A Problem

Some fans might argue that Logan didn’t listen to Rory’s issues fairly. He was seen multitasking on the phone with her, responding nonchalantly as she described his latest crisis. While Logan may not be serious enough with Rory, he does have a way of helping her calm down when she’s having a hard time. A good example is when Rory interned for Logan’s father, and Logan gave Rory some dialogue material to better understand Mitchum (Mitchum). The way Logan helps Rory is to put her problems in perspective.

Nice Guys: Subtle Rude to Lorelai

If Dean and Jesse are tough pills for Lorelai, then Logan is definitely the worst. He’s not used to adults not liking him or refusing to trust him, so he uses all sorts of dirty tricks on Lorelei’s behalf. Undoubtedly, Logan has no respect for his mother and does not fully trust her opinion.

Viewers might remember Logan’s antics at the Gilmore family dinner in addition to the daily events. He uses words Lorelai doesn’t know (like Krobog), steals the jewel in front of her and turns her against her parents even more. Lorelai can see through Logan’s “good guy” appearance.

Good People: Valentine’s Day on Martha’s Vineyard

Logan tries to show Rory the great time they’ve had together. Surprisingly, he included Luke and Lorelai in his and Rory’s Valentine’s Day plans at Martha’s Vineyard. Everyone had a great time until Mitchum Huntzberger arrived. Logan brings out the best in him when he offers to share Rory’s lavish Valentine’s Day gift so Luke has something for Lorelai.

Good Guys: Let Rory steal a random yacht

It’s also possible that Logan’s quest for a better time has gone too far. Rory makes her own decisions, but Logan can stop her from stealing someone else’s yacht. At first, he discourages Rory from her yachting adventures, but he ends up helping and abetting Rory, putting her in big trouble. Logan’s charming demeanor doesn’t do a good job of overshadowing his rude attitude here.

Good Guys: To Rory Rockets

Logan’s departure was difficult for Rory, so he sent her a rocket while he was away from London. Much of this episode (“The Long Tomorrow”) is spent deciphering the meaning of this gift. Although its meaning has not been confirmed, Rory explains the gift is Logan’s clever way of saying “I love you”. He and rory must love each other edge area, when Rocket mentions a specific episode in which the astronaut naturally ages so he can be with the woman he loves. Some might say it’s an exaggeration, but this gesture suits Logan’s better side.
