Mayan López details her parents’ divorce

George López and his ex-wife divorced in 2010. As a result of the separation, he and Mayan did not have a consistent relationship for approximately ten years. But the two were able to reconnect during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayan believes that during that time she and her father were able to reflect on what really matters.

“My parents divorced in 2010, and even until 2022, we didn’t talk for a couple of years. And then we would talk… and then we wouldn’t,” Mayan said.

“I think now what cemented our reconciliation was the pandemic. “I think we realized what was important in life and what wasn’t.”
