Genshin Impact: How to Beat Raiden Shogun Boss

Genshin Impact added new content in the 2.5 update, including a repeatable boss fight against the Raiden Shogun. This is the second time that a playable character is also a boss battle, the first being Tartaglia. It is a new Trounce Domain, which means that players can complete it to work toward the weekly missions for the Battle Pass, which gives out some decent rewards even for those who don’t purchase the Gnostic Hymn.

Players have fought against the Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact before, in the Archon Quests that serve as the main storyline of the game. This is a completely different fight than before, however. The Raiden Shogun shares some of the same moves, but she is much more powerful than before.

The great part about the fight is that it is an instance, separate from the main world. If players are having trouble with the fight, they can enter it at a lower difficulty. This will decrease the rewards, though, so players should try for the highest level possible that they can accomplish with their chosen party – or they could invite other players to join in a Genshin Impact co-op domain.

End of the Oneiric Euthymia Domain in Genshin Impact

To unlock the End of the Oneiric Euthymia Domain, players will first need to play through a bit of story. Then they need to face off against the enemy Raiden Shogun with their own version of the Raiden Shogun, aka Raiden Ei (if they’ve unlocked her). Otherwise, they’ll get a trial version. It’s easy enough to win this fight since Ei’s health resets every time it drops to zero. After players win the fight, then it becomes a repeatable domain known as the End of the Oneiric Euthymia, accessed just underneath Grand Narukami Shrine.

Now players have a full party available to use, which means they are free to use all their favorite Genshin Impact element combos to win. Most of Raiden’s standard attacks are fast-moving or deal Electro damage but can be dodged. The challenge comes from when she changes form. While players can choose whichever characters they like to fight her, they may want at least one electro character. The Raiden Shogun will deliver a massive attack that warps reality, but players can attack Flowers of Remembrance with Electro to deploy a shield that protects them from the attack.

Players might also want a bow character because the Raiden Shogun can summon clones of herself which the player must destroy. Since they are spread out, a bow works well for doing so, unless the player happens to get lucky and attack the real Raiden Shogun. There is an achievement for doing so, but there are no visual cues. Players should continue doing damage and not forget that food can buff the party significantly, as well as heal or resurrect characters. Soon enough, they’ll win the Raiden Shogun boss fight.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
