Assistant Director
At the age of 18, he started his career as an assistant director. He assisted various Indian directors like Aziz Mirza and Santosh Sivan in the Hindi films like ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’ (2000) and ‘Asoka’ (2001).

Short film
In 2005, he made his debut as a film director with the documentary Hindi film ‘Unheard Voices of the People of India.’ He directed the Hindi short film ‘The Awakening’ in 2006.

Kabir made his Bollywood directorial debut with the film ‘Allah Ke Banday’ (2010). He also worked as an actor and writer in the film.

Furthermore, he held the position of Honorary Creative Director at RoshanSpace, Mumbai’s largest out-of-home media company. On 22 February 2016, Kabir established a film production company Spiders Web Productions Private Limited.
