The beloved musical Spamalot Returns to Broadway this season and the first cast photos have been released!
James Monroe Iglehart, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Christopher Fitzgerald and Ethan Slater lead the cast of the Monty Python musical.
Also starring are Taran Killam, Jimmy Smagula, Michael Urie and Nik Walker.
The musical, with a book and lyrics by Eric Idle, is “lovingly copied” from the classic film. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. “Everything that makes a great gentleman in the theater is here, from flying cows to killer rabbits, from British royalty to French scofflaws, dancing girls, gummy bushes and, of course, the Lady of the Lake,” the synopsis reads.
Performances begin at the St. James Theater on October 31 before opening night on November 16.
Ethan, best known for playing the lead role in the Sponge Bob Square Pants musical, will be seen in the next musical film Wicked and is currently dating his co-star Ariana Grande.
