Emma Stone called Taylor Swift a “jerk” backstage at the 2024 Golden Globes. But don’t worry: Stone isn’t ready to give up her Swiftie status just yet.
While speaking to the press after her win for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, Stone was asked about Taylor Swift’s support on her big night.
“What an idiot, right?” Stone joked. “I’ve known her for almost 20 years, so I’m very happy she was there. She was nominated tonight too, so I’m really happy she was there, but what an idiot.”
Taylor Swift was nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award. The “Antihero” lost Margot Robbie Barbie.
As Emma Stone took the stage, Swift wasn’t the only one celebrating her victory. Jennifer Lawrence, another Golden Globe-nominated friend of Stone’s who was in attendance, visibly mouthed “oh my God” and “mom” as she applauded her longtime friend.
Just before her friend’s victory, Lawrence jokingly said “If I don’t win, I’m out” to the camera.
Taylor Swift Wasn’t Amused by Jo Koy’s NFL Prank at the Golden Globes
Taylor Swift was seen having a nice evening with her friends Emma Stone and Selena Gomez, but it wasn’t all smiles for the “Karma” singer. At one point during the night, Swift seemed downright upset.
Comedian Jo Koy acted as presenter at the Golden Globes and didn’t exactly bring his best level of jokes. His awkward monologue led many viewers to call him “embarrassing” on social media, but his joke about Taylor Swift caused a huge uproar from fans.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL is that at the Golden Globes we get less camera shots of Taylor Swift,” Koy joked, referring to Swift’s frequent appearances in the NFL attending Kansas City games. Chiefs in support of her boyfriend Travis. Kelce.

Taylor Swift responded with an icy stare and a sip of champagne. Instantly, the internet was ablaze with Swifties roasting the comedian.
“It’s always the ugly bald guy who thinks he’s the funniest guy ever,” one fan fumed. “And the failure of the year award goes to him,” noted another. “Not even faster, but that was stupid,” added a third.
