In 2005 she joined the Ministry of External Affairs. In August 2008, he was appointed as Second Secretary at the Indian Embassy in Argentina. In January 2021, he began serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Later, he was appointed as Under Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi. While working as Under Secretary, he handled issues related to India’s neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

She works as a Counselor in the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York. As Counsel, she represents India on Security Council reforms, counter-terrorism, cyber security issues and Security Council (regional issues) related matters. He has also worked on economic and social issues for the United Nations during his probationary period in New Delhi in 2007. She also holds the position of Senior Advisor on Peace and Security Affairs in the Office of the President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. In September 2016, he received significant recognition in the Indian media when he criticized Pakistan’s actions during his speech at the United Nations Assembly. In his remarks he specifically targeted Pakistan’s alleged support for terrorism. He said,

- She is fluent in Hindi, English and Spanish and loves writing poetry in all three languages.
- In her spare time she likes to listen to music. Her favorite song is ‘Roshay’ by Dub Sharma, Vibha Saraf from the Prime Original Series ‘Made in Heaven’.
