Aaron Carter’s Cause of Death Revealed, Ex-Fiancee Melanie Martin Says Autopsy Results Make No Sense

Aaron Carter tragically died at the age of 34 in November 2022 and his cause of death has now been released.

At the time of his death, he was found in a bathtub in his home and a greater cause was ruled out in January.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released the autopsy results on Tuesday (April 18) and Aaron’s ex-fiancée Melanie Martin released a statement saying the results are nonsense.

The medical examiner said: “On the morning of November 5, 2022, Mr. Carter was found submerged in the bathtub of his residence, located in Lancaster, by his alleged housekeeper, who called 911 and was instructed to begin CPR. Paramedics were called to the scene and Mr. Carter was pronounced dead on scene at 11:14 a.m.

The report says that he “submerged” in the bathtub after “inhalation of compressed gas and ingestion of alprazolam”.

The official cause of death is drowning, and contributing effects were “difluoroethane, a flammable gas often used as a propellant in compressed air boats, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax,” according to page six.

Aaron’s death was ruled an accident.

Melanie told TMZ: “The autopsy results are not closure for me. She claims death was due to drowning, but also adds that she was wearing a T-shirt and necklace in the bathtub, which doesn’t make sense, right?” Why would I do that?”. Being in a bathtub with your clothes on? I’m still in shock and miss Aaron every day. I don’t understand the chain of events and this report only makes us ask more questions.”
