Ed Orgeron – Career and professional life
Starting in the year 1984, Ed Orgeron began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State. He then coached at McNeese State in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He even worked there for 2 years as an assistant coach under Ken Hatfield at the University of Arkansas. In 1988, he began his tenure at the University of Miami under former head coach Jimmy and his successor, Dennis Erickson.
