As stars hit the 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet, fans can’t help but look at Dua Lipa and her guest for the night, which is her father Dukagjin.
Not long after she and her father made their way through the Grammys crowd, X (formerly Twitter) quickly lit up with comments about the pop star’s father.
“Is he single? Whatever it is, I don’t care,” wrote one X user. Another user stated, “So he’s looking for a stepmom?”
Although the general consensus was that Dua Lipa’s father is a “Zaddy,” many X users praised him for supporting his daughter in person.
“Family support is always a nice touch,” noted one X user. “And it adds a personal touch to the glitz and glamor of the event. “They make quite an elegant duo.”
A fellow X user stated: “Total family goals, but isn’t it a little more to match your dad? Without shadow! Just say’!”
While on the red carpet, Dua Lipa talked about her dress, which AP says is a custom Courrèges dress. “It makes me feel really strong and powerful,” the singer told the AP. “And that’s the energy I’m bringing tonight.”
Lipa has been nominated for two awards for her single dance the night from the Barbie soundtrack. The awards are Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media. She is also one of the performers at tonight’s big event. She has won three Grammy Awards in the past.
Dua Lipa recently opened up about her ‘favorite parts’ of being single
During an appearance on the Audacy show Check in In a November 2023 podcast, Dua Lipa talked about her favorite parts of being single.
“You’re discovering yourself, you’re figuring out what your life is, what you don’t like,” Lipa explained. “What you deserve, what works for you and what doesn’t in certain cases.”
Dua Lipa also said that she is also learning to read the warning signs. “Just saying, ‘Okay, this isn’t really for me,’” he continued. “And then choose when to stay and when Houdini essentially, in those situations.”
Another key thing Lipa has learned from being single is learning a lot about herself. “A lot of people want her singleness to go away and find someone else,” she said.
“But I think the point of spending that time alone is to really figure out what you need and who you are in the silence and who you are without someone. That’s the best thing and then of course just enjoying the time you spend with your girl or whatever.”
