Kantara
Naveen Bondel debuted in Sandalwood with the Kannada action thriller film Kantara, where he played the role of a deity interpreter. This film was released on 30 September 2022. Talking about his character in the film, Naveen Bondel said that he had no idea what character he would play in the film. He further added that after being selected for the role of a deity interpreter in Kantara, he was taken to the shooting location, which was in a forest and asked to enact his role in front of the camera. According to Naveen Bondel, the film’s director Rishabh Shetty was initially not impressed with her acting skills and he personally mentored her and helped her hone her acting skills. Talking about this he said,
First of all I was asked to remove my moustache, for which I agreed. And then I was asked to come to Pilikula, and then I was taken to Kundapura forest for shooting. I never knew what my character was. After my makeover, I was asked to perform in front of the camera. Rishabh sir was not impressed with my acting at first, but then he taught me like a teacher teaches his student. The way he directs the film is brilliant, it’s just like someone teaching small children, he used to explain things to us.
