Gautami Nair is an Indian actor, film director, neuroscientist and psychologist. She played the role of Anupama in the Malayalam film ‘2018’, which was India’s official entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.

On 2 April 2017, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at a temple in Alappuzha. However, in 2017 she talked about separation from her husband. He said that it was a mutual decision.

From December 2015 to January 2016, he worked as an intern in the psychology department of the Government Mental Health Center in Olanpara, Kerala. In April 2017, she joined the Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala as an intern. She interned there for two months. After completing his postgraduate studies, he worked as a research assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He worked there from October 2019 to January 2020. He started working as a junior researcher at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Kerala in March 2020. After about nine months, he was promoted as Junior Research Fellow.
