Drew Barrymore reveals fake NFL player caught her on dating app

It’s important to remember that celebrities are people too. It turns out that actor and television host Drew Barrymore may need the services of Nev Schulman from Catfish. Barrymore revealed that she was recently caught up in online dating.

During an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show (via Indy 100), Barrymore revealed that she was cheated on.

“This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams,” Barrymore said. This interested Barrymore, who decided to respond.

She continued: “So I wrote to her and said, ‘Oh my God, I went to the first scrimmage and I was so frustrated being a girl from Los Angeles who loves soccer and we didn’t have any team. and then I moved to New York and then we had two teams. It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Drew.’”

However, Barrymore soon learned that the man was lying. In reality, he was not a quarterback nor did he play for the Los Angeles Rams. Instead, he was a musician.

The deception ruined any potential the two might have had. Barrymore said he made her feel really silly for believing he was who she said she was.

“The guy said, ‘Hey, Drewski,’ and I said, ‘I hate you… You’re terse, sneaky, playful; You’ve made me feel stupid,’” he said. “‘I do not know who you are. I feel so stupid. Why did we have to start with this foot? I hate you!'”

“I haven’t gotten to that point yet. “I have two little daughters and I don’t want to bring people home,” Barrymore said during a 2022 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, according to Us Weekly. “I think it would take me a long time to meet someone and get to know them before I could introduce them to my daughters.”

However, online dating has had its drawbacks. He’s seen plenty of celebrities on dating apps, but he’s also experienced ups and downs.

“Oh yeah I did. I mean, it’s not really fun not to say who they were, but a lot of them. It was like flipping through Us Weekly,” Barrymore shared. “I got stood up and I didn’t match with anyone. And my friends gave me this sort of inflated sense of false confidence. They said, ‘You should try it.’ You’ll do fine.’ “It was a car accident.”
