Drea de Matteo had a quick access to stardom after almost seven years of career in soprano. But in 2020, he disappeared from the spotlight almost as quickly as he entered.
The 51-year-old got her big break when she landed the role of Adriana La Cerva on the HBO classic in 1999. She even won a Primetime Emmy for her portrayal of Christopher Moltisanti’s girlfriend. When she left the series in 2006, she had no problems finding work on other successful series.
De Matteo went on to play pivotal roles in Desperate housewives, Joey, Sons of Anarchyand a million little pieces. But after the COVID pandemic broke out in 2020, he claims he had a hard time finding work because of his stance on the vaccine. To make ends meet, she started an Onlyfans page.
“I know some people have said mean things about me joining Onlyfans. But, you know, the way we see it in this house is that mom is a warrior who doesn’t accept defeat,” de Matteo said. But I can do that and get paid for it’… I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before.”

The actress shared that she refused to follow Hollywood’s mandates after the quarantine was lifted, forcing her to “change careers and discover new things.” She said her agent left her and, after going too long without a job, she almost lost her house.
To liquidate her assets, Drea de Matteo put her beachside New York home up for sale for nearly $6 million in July. Another of her homes in Laurel Canyon, California, went on the market in 2022 for $4 million. He lowered the price to $3.6 million when it had not sold in May 2023.
“People find it hard to believe that I have never been paid a lot of money for any of the work I have done,” he continued. “People think I’m made of gold, and I’m not. I have worked from job to job. And I’ve turned down tons of jobs in the past just to be with my kids because their dad is away. And he’s not around much.”
Drea de Matteo said she ultimately decided she needed to “save” her family instead of saving face. Then, with the “blessings” of her daughters, she opened her account.
