Deion Sanders isn’t ready for a rocking chair or being called Paw Paw as he psychologically prepares to be a grandfather. In March, the legendary sports star’s eldest daughter, Deiondra, 31, revealed on Instagram that she and her partner, Jacquees, are expecting her first child.
Sanders will become a grandfather for the first time and has shared his excitement about the family milestone. However, he admits that the news has not yet fully sunk in.

“I’m going to have my baby for the four myomectomy surgeries I’ve had. I am going to have my baby for all the years I was on birth control even though she gave me breast tumors. “I’m going to have my baby because of all the doctors who told me she wouldn’t survive the first trimester,” she added.
Meanwhile, Sanders, a devoted family man, makes sure to spend quality time with his grown children. He coaches his sons Shedeur and Shilo in soccer at the University of Colorado Boulder. He also stays connected with all of his children through group text threads when they are apart.
“We have three different ones,” Sanders explained of the different chats. “You have my daughters, we have my sons, then you have all my sons, all five of them.”
