The new Deadpool and Wolverine The trailer is here, and nerds everywhere are searching through the images for the comic’s Easter eggs. The team-up of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman had plenty of bromance vibes, but also hinted at a story behind the comedy’s antics.
Most importantly, months of fan complaints about Wolverine’s costume were to no avail. When the first images of Jackman in costume were released, comic book nerds everywhere whined about the iconic sporting sleeves of Logan’s uniform. The character famously goes sleeveless in the comics.
However, it looks like Wolverine is quickly adopting his classic sleeveless look alongside Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson. Almost all of the shots of him in costume are without the annoying extra fabric.
Meanwhile, a fan favorite also appeared in the new trailer: Dogpool is here! The dog is a variant of Deadpool, the result of a world in which a dangerous experimental cosmetic was tested on the poor dog, giving him Deadpool-like healing powers.
He’s a good guy with a face only Wade could love, as Logan is clearly disgusted by the doggo.

‘Deapool & Wolverine’ trailer hints at a world without the Avengers
Another highlight shows what appears to be the ruins of a giant Ant-Man uniform. This seems to hint that Wade and Logan are at least visiting an alternate reality where the Avengers no longer exist.

Meanwhile, the new trailer offered our first real look at the film’s main villain. The trailer suggests that Deadpool enlists Logan’s help to repair his ruined world thanks to Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), a formidable mutant with a complex connection to Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart).
Nova is known for her psychic ability to manipulate others into committing heinous acts. At one point in the trailer, she tosses a beleaguered Logan around like he’s a mutant ragdoll.

Trailer finally confirms how Deadpool and Wolverine jump to different cinematic universes
For some time, fans have speculated that the new Deadpool sequel would involve the multiverse, with Wade visiting multiple superhero incarnations in various film franchises.
This is almost confirmed in the trailer, when we see Wade and Logan jumping through dimensional portals like the ones Dr. Strange has implemented in previous Marvel films.

Reynolds was looking to cast Jackman in a Deadpool movie. He launched a charm offensive since Jackman hung up his claws on Wolverine afterlogan in 2017.
Finally, the Australian could not resist the call of the Reynolds and decided to return for more action. Directed by Shawn Levy, the upcoming film, out July 26, will be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated film.
