Danny Masterson’s schedule has been released as he begins his sentence at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.
The former actor will begin his sentence of 30 years to life in prison with extremely strict rules. According TMZis gradually entering the facility in something called “privileged group U,” which does not allow many freedoms.
During a process that takes up to 90 days, Masterson will be allowed one phone call within his first two weeks behind bars. After that initial call, he will only receive one call a month until the process is complete.
Under its immediate terms, Masterson’s family and friends will not be allowed to visit him. You will also have limited access to entertainment and no access to personal property. Danny Masterson will be allowed to use the playground and other physical recreation amenities. However, the rules will remain strict until your qualification process is completed.
Danny Masterson will soon appeal his convictions
In May, the 47-year-old was found guilty of two counts of forcible rape. The crimes were committed between 2001 and 2003, while Masterson was starring in That 70’s show. The decision came after an initial jury was hung. Her most recent trial began with three counts of forcible rape, but the jury was once again left hanging on one woman’s accusations.
Masterson’s attorneys will soon appeal the convictions. Due to the indecision of the jurors and the overwhelming “mistakes” made during the trial, they believe that everything will be annulled.
“For the past several months, a team of the best appellate lawyers in the country has been reviewing the trial transcripts,” Shawn Holley told the publication in September. “They have identified a number of important evidentiary and constitutional issues that they will address in briefs before state and federal appeals courts.”
Holley believes the “substantial” errors “led to verdicts that are not supported by evidence.”
“Mr. Masterson did not commit the crimes for which he has been convicted and we, and the appellate attorneys, the best and brightest in the country, are confident that these convictions will be overturned,” he concluded.
Danny Masteron officially filed an appeal in November. At this time no date has been set for the hearing.
