Coolio, a famous rapper, died on September 28 at the age of 59. Jarez Posey, the rapper’s manager, confirmed the death and said his ex had passed away at a friend’s house. His manager at Trinity Artists International, Sheila Finegan, also revealed the news, saying the rapper “touched the world with his gift of music.” Finnegan continued:
“We will miss him so much. Thank you to everyone who listened to his music and responded to his death. Please keep Coolio’s family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Artis Leon Ivey Jr., the artist’s real name, passed away while visiting a friend. Jarez said that the rapper went to the bathroom but didn’t come back for a long time. When his companion stormed the toilet, he found the rapper motionless on the floor. According to Posey, paramedics suspect Coolio died of a heart attack, but the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed. According to law enforcement officials, no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene. They said an autopsy and toxicology tests would reveal the main cause of his death. At around 4pm, an ambulance arrived at the house of a friend of the rapper and announced that the rapper had died on the spot.
According to the latest developments, an investigation was conducted but found no evidence of wrongdoing. The coroner is expected to provide more details after the autopsy.
Coolio has appeared in reality television series such as Celebrity Big Brother.
Coolio, born August 1, 1963, attended Compton Community College and began his career as a volunteer firefighter and security guard at Los Angeles International Airport. In 1987 he released his debut song, in 1991 he joined WC and Maad Circle. In 1994, the rapper signed to Tommy Boy Records and released his first album It Takes a Thief. The album peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200 and the songs were well received by the audience.
In 1995, he recorded the song Gangsta’s Paradise, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. Gangsta’s Paradise was featured on his second album, Gangsta’s Paradise, which was released in 1995 and sold approximately 2 million copies worldwide. In 2014, the band Falling in Reverse covered Gangsta’s Paradise and Artis appeared in the video. My Soul, his third album, was released in 1997 and although it went platinum it did not reach the same popularity as his previous two albums.

He was later featured on F**k the DJ, a collaboration track with rapper Blacklisted MC. He also starred in reality television series such as Ultimate Big Brother, Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off and Wife Swap. He has appeared in films such as The Nanny and Black Jesus in small parts.
