He also served as director of two financial development agencies for the city of Miami, Florida. Additionally, he was coordinator and facilitator of the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta in 1988.

Anderson developed the concept of PowerNomics, which is presented in his book PowerNomics: The National Plan to Empower Black America. The PowerNomics concept and plan demonstrates to Black people how to combine assets and areas of influence to deliver, distribute and burn in a way that generates goods and wealth.
