“I paid for some of the upgrades and the first thing that came up after finding out I was part Neanderthal was this: identical twin,” he said in a video posted to his Instagram. “That has to be a joke, right?”

Chrissy added that she wrote to the company, texted her doctor, and eventually began “spiraling” while calling her father to try to find out the results.

“I’m literally saying, ‘Dad, hey, did you see it come out of mom’s vagina and there were two of us?’” she explained. “He starts laughing and says, ‘No, I was there, it’s not you two!’ I was like, ‘Are you sure you were there?’”

She then called her sister, who was equally shocked by the news of her identical twin.

“At this point, I’m making excuses for my entire life. I think, ‘That’s why I’m so codependent, because my twin was taken away from me!’ That’s why I always felt like I was missing something and that’s why I have trouble with sums,’” Chrissy said. “…I’m literally like, ‘Holy shit!'”

But her sister pointed out that Chrissy had once appeared on a PBS show called Find your roots, which focuses on celebrity genealogies. While Chrissy never finished her episode, she did submit her DNA and filed it under a “secret name” to protect her identity, which is why 23andMe would think she had an identical twin.
