Chris Pine in legal battle with neighbor over Ficus trees in LA Yard

A clump of ficus trees is causing legal trouble between Chris Pine and one of his Los Angeles neighbors.

According to TMZ, the Star Trek The star is being sued by her neighbor, identified as music lawyer Helen Yu, over tree roots allegedly infiltrating her backyard. In her legal documents, Yu claims that Pine had a dozen ficus trees planted on the edge of her house.

However, after Chris Pine decided not to settle, Yu changed his settlement amount to $346,000. The funds will cover the cost of repairing all damage to his property. He also wants $225,000 from Pine for emotional distress. In total, he wants $571,000.
